Module Title : Development Economics I
Module Description : This module will introduce students to the economics of developing countries. The first three lectures will focus on principles and concepts of development. The second part of the module will provide an overview of theories of development. The third part will examine development strategies and policies designed to address issues of growth and development and will, in this instance, focus on the development experiences of selected Asia-Pacific economies. This segment of the module will provide students with an appreciation of the development problems, possibilities and prospects in these regional economies.
